Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump returns to Pensacola Nov. 2 for his third visit to the Panhandle city.
With less than two weeks to go until the presidential election — where he squares off against Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton — Trump will hold his local event at Maritime Park’s Hunter Amphitheater. The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday.
This homestretch event will be somewhat more intimate than the candidate’s previous appearances in Pensacola. The city-owned Randall K. and Martha A. Hunter Amphitheater, located behind the Wahoo’s stadium, sports a grass seating area that can accommodate about 5,000 people. The Pensacola Bay Center, where Trump held his event during the winter primary season and again in September after securing the GOP’s nomination, holds more than twice that. In August 2015 the primary candidate also held court in nearby Mobile, Ala., inside the 33,000-capacity Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
